GETTING STARTED BY FOLLOWING THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

  1. To ensure proper hygiene and sanitation, it is important to thoroughly clean your new unit before its first use. We recommend washing it with hot soapy water and adding 1 cup of white distilled vinegar to the mixture. This will help remove any residual manufacturing oil or polishing compounds and ensure a clean and fresh start for your unit. Please follow these cleaning instructions to maintain the cleanliness of your unit.
  2. To ensure proper stability and prevent any accidents, it is important to attach the suction cups to the foot posts of 3-legged models. Be sure to push the cups on the posts as far as possible to ensure a strong grip.
  3. On the 2-piece single base units or 3-legged base units with a hopper, here are the assembly instructions. First, place the hopper on the base unit. Ensure that the hopper is aligned properly and securely on the base.
  4. To achieve the best cutting results on models with a slide-on food guide, it is important to position the food perpendicular to the cutting cones. Slide the food guide onto the top of the hopper.
  5. Use the food guide (included with all models) to position the food perpendicular to the cutting cones. Place the food you want to cut into the hopper. Turn on the machine and begin cutting. By using the slide-on food guide, you can ensure that your food is positioned correctly for optimal cutting results.
  6.  In order to attach a cutting cone, start by positioning the center hole of the cone on the center pin of the cone plate clutch. Then, turn the handle clockwise to engage the cone plate lugs into the hole of the cutting cone. It is important to ensure that the handle turns easily and the cone is securely attached to the cone plate clutch. When it comes time to remove the cone, carefully rotate the handle counterclockwise while holding the cone firmly. It is crucial to avoid holding the cone by the cutting blade to prevent any accidents or injuries.
  7. Place a bowl or container underneath the cone before use. This will ensure that any food that is being cut or grated will be caught and contained safely.
  8. When using your food chopper, it is important to insert the food using your fingertips until it is even with the top of the hopper. Please do not put your fingers inside the hopper at any time. To activate the cutting process, simply turn the handle while applying a slight amount of pressure to push the food through the cone.
  9. The food pusher is a handy tool that can be used to push the ends of vegetables into the cone for easy preparation. This simple but effective tool can save time and effort when preparing vegetables for cooking or slicing. Simply place the vegetable into the cone and use the food pusher to guide it in. This is especially helpful when dealing with smaller or irregularly-shaped vegetables that may be difficult to handle otherwise. With the food pusher, vegetable preparation becomes a breeze, making it a must-have tool in any kitchen.
