This is a fool proof method of preparing perfect rice every time.
Recipe adapted for induction cooking.
PREPARATION: 40 minutes – makes 4 to 6 servings
1 cup RICE any kind
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup filtered water
Combine rice, salt, and 1 cup water in the 1-quart saucepan. Stir. NOTE: It's very important to have the right equipment for the job at hand. A Full-Body induction stainless steel pan like Health Craft or True Induction, or a heavy slab bottom pan like Vapor-Seal work best.
Bring rice-and-water mixture to a boil over high heat 450°F (232°C). Stir, cover the pan and close the vent. Turn the heat to low 150°F (65°C) and let the rice stand covered, for 40 minutes. If using an electric range you may want to turn the burner off after 12-15 minutes. The residual heat is sufficient to finish cooking the rice.
Remove lid and fluff cooked rice with a fork and serve.
