REMOVING and REPLACING Snap-On Handles
To change the handle, turn the pan upside down and lay it on a flat surface. Notice the wide slot between the flame guard and the pan. Using a flathead screwdriver, insert the tip into the right or left side of the slot (you may want to put a tape on the screwdriver to prevent from scratching the pan), and twist the screwdriver until the spring inside the handle releases on that side. Move the screwdriver to the other side of the slot and twist the screwdriver and that side will release.
Be sure you have the right size handle for the right size pan. There are three (3) sizes, small, medium and large. See www.healthcraft.com Replacement Parts for details on what pan takes what handle.
To install the new handle. Be sure the flame guard is installed on the handle properly. Put the handle on as far as it will go. Then give the handle a good tap on a cutting board (or a good tap with a rubber mallet), the spring inside the handle will push over the prongs on the end of the stainless attachment and lock the handle in place.

Just got new handles replacing old ones that burnt off when using, most likely from hi heat, although handles were never in direct contact with heat. I believe the original material was inferior. We'll see how long the new ones last.
Thank you for your input... Unlike all other cookware brands who use handle material that produces harmful VOC's Health Craft handles are made of a non-toxic material. Medium to Low heat is all that is required with Health Craft Cookware and extend the life of a handle 15 to 25 years even on a gas range. Secondly, Health Craft is one of the few cookware brands that stock replacement parts.

Handles over heated and came off the pans. Ordered replacement handles and tried to install but had a problem getting the on. Called customer service and they were really great. They said once you start the handle onat some point it will stop and then that is when you can use a rubber mallet or your hand and hit it HARD. this will cause the internal spring to lift and the handle to lock on...Simple. They look great.

Customer David: This is a replacement for the defective original. It should have been complimentary for the price of the item it is used on. There are no instructions as to how these "snap on".
I only regret having purchased these as there are so many quality items out there. If I am contacted by customer service with directions, I would consider a kind comment regarding that. (we will need your phone number to contact you).
Customer service response: If a pan or part is defective it will be replaced at no charge. Contact customer service 18 hours a day 7 days a week at 1.800.443.8079 or firstname.lastname@example.org. When ordering replacement parts for burnt of broken handles, enter your customer number in the coupon code area at checkout and your parts will be discounted according to the warranty. Installation instructions are in the "Description of Merchandise" with each part, along with the customer service phone number and email. need to replace handles even though flame is kept low. At $13+, I feel it has become expensive, especially since the set is costly to begin with

Wife dropped small sauce pan and broke the handle. Tried to repair it myself but got tired of it falling apart constantly. Then opted to buy replacement part and was pleasantly surprised that it was not as expensive as I thought it would be. The handle needed a little extra umph to get on, but it will not come off again!

A call to your customer service center helped. They advised using a rubber mallet to attach the handles. Worked great.
Ease of ordering, good service response, all excellent. Unusual in today"s world and the experience was very much appreciated.

Easy fix for broken handles
Product: Black Silver Classic MEDIUM Side Handle snap-on no screw

The handles on the smaller pans tend to suffer heat exhaustion and fall apart after a number of years of heavy use. Replacements are readily available and easy to install. I replaced two handles on my 1.25 quart sauce pan and it is as good as brand new. The handles come fully assembled and snap right in place. The mounting brackets must be there or this will not work. I positioned both handles in place (one on each side) and simply pressed them toward each other. They snapped right in!! Anyone with a moderate amount of strength can do this. No instructions are really needed.

In 50 years, I've never seen any other brand of pans need to replace handles. My mother didn't, my grandmother didn't, my sister and friends don't, yet I buy this very expensive cookware and I have to replace handles, and PAY to replace handles. Had I known this, I never would have purchased this set.
